The LyncMe product family is the latest addition to Modality Systems’ extensive Unified Communications offerings and custom solutions using the Communications Enabled Business Processes (CEBP) Accelerator. Each unique member of the product family is designed to streamline and enrich business communications, and maximize workplace efficiency while leveraging the use of Microsoft’s Lync software.
“The LyncMe product family is an innovative platform thatwill expand on the power of Microsoft Lync to enable organizations to benefit from seamless communications and accelerated business decision making”, said John Lamb, President of Modality Systems, “I’m excited because we’ve been building these kinds of solutions for our clients for several years, and this release will put the capability into the hands of many more users in a cost-effective and easy-to-deploy solution.“
The applications are available today as an on-premise deployment. However, over the next quarter, they will be rolled out on the powerful LyncMe.net hosted platform to help meet a wide variety of business needs in a timely and efficient manner.
“Knowing people were online and available via HelpMe, providing real-time support really gave our users confidence to adopt Lync in preference to our legacy conference systems.” Says Jamie Wheeldon, Technical Architect, Global Financial Services Firm.
The LyncMe product family includes:
• TrainMe: a revolutionary way to construct, deliver and monitor the delivery of training content throughout an organization.
• SurveyMe: providing organizations the opportunity to obtain meeting feedback through Lync client-based surveys.
• AlertMe: providing Lync-based corporate announcements to designated members of an organization.
• HelpMe: an intuitive, interactive find-an-expert application.
The LyncMe product family was designed with convenience in mind – the applications work with any existing Lync infrastructure, including the new Lync 2013. This enables organizations to deploy them without compatibility concerns, and reduces the probability of all-too-common challenges with user adoption.

Modality Systems celebrates its 5th anniversary today. Setup up in March 2007 by co-founders James Rodd, and John Lamb, Modality has grown into one of the leading Unified Communication consultancy service providers across the globe.
Microsoft's UK Voice Partner of the Year for the past two years, Modality is able to set itself apart from other providers with its 'Cradle to Grave' approach, and its unique 'UC Centre of Excellence' encompassing its Justify, Deploy, Develop, and Support methodology.
By working closely with its customers to build out their Unified Communcations Strategy, and by helping them to realise their investment on existing technology, Modality Systems ensures its customers have the right toolset in which to enhance and improve communication and collaboration across departmental boundaries, and out to external partners and customers.
During this period, Modality has also created its own in-house development team, who have been been responsible for creating some great applications such as 'iDialog', 'CRM Enhance', 'TrainMe', and 'Supertoast', all of which extend the power and versatility of Lync into line of business systems.
Not bad for the first 5 years, and there's more to come!
Modality Systems in partnership with Newport City Homes proved once again that Microsoft Lync has the power to wow audiences.
An initial live overview of Microsoft's Lync client, encompassing IM, Presence, Enterprise Voice, Conferencing (audio, video, and web) and collaboration was expertly delivered by Darren Lloyd, Business Development Manager at Modality Systems, and ensured delegates were exposed to the ease in which users are able to navigate between modalities, and effectively choose the best method in which to communicate and collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
Owen Barrett & Nigel Ward from Newport City Homes then proceeded to deliver a live demonstration of how their organisation has effectively integrated Microsoft Lync into Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, PowerPivot, and other line of business systems, enabling them to enhance the flow of information and knowledge across business areas, while ultimately improving the levels of service they are able to offer their customers.
It's true to say that delegates were impressed with Lync's capabilities, and more importantly, with how Newport City Homes has embedded the power of Lync into day to day processes and workflow.
Quote of the day
'Microsoft Lync is the glue that holds your line of business systems together'
Modality Systems welcomed a number of forward thinking organisations to this packed out event aimed at highlighting the transformational benefits widely associated with the deployment of Microsoft Lync.
Following registration, coffee and the all important pastries, James Rodd, co-founder of Modality Systems, settled into to what was an informative and enlightening demonstration of Microsoft Lync's capabilities. A Customer presentation from Simon Leyland of Astra Zeneca provided delegates with the opportunity to understand how a real life implementation of Microsoft Lync can impact on day to day business processes within a leading FTSE100 company. Simon also provided delegates with an insight into how Astra Zeneca built out its Unified Communications strategy, and managed user adoption across the globe.
As time drew to a close, James concluded the presentations with a session aptly named 'The Art of the Possible', which focused on the competitive advantage organisations can gain by integrating Lync with 'line of business' systems, and processes.
Following Lunch, and with presentations finished, delegates were treated to a tour of the extensive and impressive Williams F1 museum, and then for those brave enough to show off their driving skills infront of their peers, a number of laps in the F1 Simulator. As you can well imagine, spirits were high, and the experience brought what was an informative and enjoyable day to a close.
Feedback from the event was extremely positive with delegates leaving with a good understanding of how Lync can benefit their organisations. Keep an eye out for more info on our next Lync event scheduled to place in the not too distant future.

Modality Systems, in conjunction with Microsoft, demonstrated the exceptional capabilities of Microsoft Lync at an event held at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.
Specifically targeted at Public Sector organizations and Emergency services, the audiences were exposed to new levels of communication and collaboration that will ultimately improve the service they provide their customers.
With both local authorities and emergency services coming under considerable pressure from central government to collaborate and share frontline services, attendees saw first-hand how Microsoft Lync can transform the way they work, improve productivity, and ultimately enhance the flow of information and knowledge, both internally and externally to supporting partner agencies.
Out of the box, Dynamics CRM will provide a presence indicator for all contacts, but phone numbers are only populated from Active Directory and Outlook.
This doesn’t exactly help when your customer’s contact information is stored in your CRM database. To get the phone number for the contact, you have to click the contact, which pops an additional window from which you can read and manually dial the number.
With Modality Systems' CRM Enhance for Microsoft Lync, we provide a full drop down "Persona Menu" wherever the contacts name is listed in Dynamics CRM with a presence indicator, enabling seamless click-to-call, click-to-email, or click-to-IM.
What’s more, CRM Enhance v1.5 supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 in both on-premise and hosted deployments, as well as support for Microsoft Office365. Trust the team at Modality Systems to give you what you need!
SuperToast is a great solution to an annoying irritation. What’s more, it’s free!
SuperToast is designed to alert users to instant messages they may have missed. If an instant message is not acknowledged within a certain timeframe (configurable), the user will be notified with a pop-up window. Click here to download your copy, and to see what our customers have been saying.
